Long story short: I believe style and sustainability belong together. Every rescued fabric is one less headed for waste, one less animal affected and one more with a
new story to tell. Each piece is made
with intention, care, and
a little bit of that
"finding use for
the useless" magic.

Long story: After studying
Fashion Design Techniques
at George Brown in
Toronto, the more I learned,
the more I realized the fashion
industry didn't align with my
values, especially when it
came to nature, animals,
and sustainability. Then I did some scenic painting on sets like Star Trek, Chucky and Suits and again the intensity of everything seemed silly to me when it was pretty much all CGI’d anyway.
Working in landscaping,
connected my love
for physical work and time
outdoors, but I hated how often
small ecosystems were disrupted.

During the off season from
landscaping, I did a little bit of everything then decided
working with dogs
was the next move...and, of
course, complete love.

I've always adored the classic
look of an old-school bandana on
a dog, so I began sewing them
using leftover scraps from my
past projects. That's when it
clicked: I could create something
cute and meaningful for dogs
while helping the planet by
reusing textiles instead
of wasting them.

Lucky Blue Dogg grew
from that mix;
my love for animals,
my respect for the
environment, and my passion for
making something good out of what
others might throw away. I try my hardest not to wander
into the fabric store, honestly,
it's tempting, but reusing what
already exists and buying
second hand is a big part of
my mission.

Most of my pieces
are fully up-cycled. A few bandanas are 50% up-cycled
when new material is needed for
durability or finishing or,
let's be honest, some flair,
because they come out
with such cute prints!

I wash and sort every fabric myself,
choosing only the best quality
textiles that deserve
a second life.

Every bandana is another
step toward less waste,
better quality, and
more creativity.
